Detailed Summary of the Film:

Spencer Reinhard is a student and an artist by nature. He thinks that he is living a boring life. He feels that all the artists around have a traumatised life and he thinks that because of their past those artists could produce those great masterpieces. He wants to break out from that boring life and live an interesting one as every teenager would think. One day he goes to a library and he sees a very interesting thing. His school takes him on a tour to a library where they keep rare paintings of an artist in a book which is very rare worldwide and he comes to know it is 12.5 million dollars worth. He simply tells about this to his friend Warren Lipka. Warren Lipka is a guy who steals from small shops just for fun. He is into that kind of stuff. So when he hears about this painting, he immediately plans to steal it but Spencer does not agree to it at that time but after sometime he realises that this would be the breaking point to a new life. So they both start planning about the heist. Warren realises that they need someone to sell this. Selling would be very hard because this is a stolen thing. Warren gets a contact from his friend. A Fence. A fence is a person who buys stolen things. They travel to New York to meet that person but for their disappointment that person is not the fence. That person who they meet gives a number and that person is the fence. Spencer tells Wareen to go alone and meet the fence. So Warren leaves for Amsterdam and meets the fence and the fence agrees to buy it with a 30-40% value price. So now Spencer and Warren are very happy and plan for the heist. But Warren realises that the heist can’t be done with just two people. Warren tells Spencer that they need someone who is good in logistics. Eric Borsuk comes in. He is studying to join the FBA. Warren meets and tells Eric about this opportunity and Eric. Just agrees to it for the sake of old friendship and just to regain the friendship with Warren. After some days Eric tells Warren that we would need another person to complete this heist successfully. They needed a driver. Chas Allen comes in. He is an entrepreneur at a young age like his father. He has a lot of money and that is one of the important thing that he was inside that heist. Warren brainwashes Chas and he agrees to it. So now everything is set up. They all dress up like old men and fix an appointment in the library. 

The Day Of Heist

As per the plan everyone goes in and sits on the ground floor. Warren goes up to talk to the library but to his shock there were four librarians in the room. That didn’t go according to his plan. So he aborts the plan and goes down. Four of them gather and have a meeting. Spencer gets angry and leaves from there. Spencer is a little bit happy that the heist didn’t happen but the rest is very disappointed because the plan didn’t go their way. Warren tells to stop in a shop. He enters there, buys a juice and gets an idea. He calls the library from there and fixes an appointment for the next day.  He comes out and tells happily that they have got a second chance. Everyone is happy because of that except Spencer. Everyone leaves from there. Spencer gets afraid and goes to Warren’s house and tells he is out of this. Warren tries to brainwash him and finally Spencer agrees to it. 

The Second Day Of Heist

So this time they plan to go normally. They carry out the same plan but Spencer won’t go in this time because he has already gone in so there is a possibility of him being caught. Spencer agreed to look out the library from outside. Chas waits outside with the car.  Everyone goes to the library. As per the plan Warren goes up to the librarian and talks to her. After sometime Warren calls Eric up. Eric goes up but to his shock the librarian is still sitting. Eric gets nervous and he comes in. Warren suddenly attacks the librarian and ties her up. Eric gets more nervous. Eric also helps Warren to tie her up. Warren and Eric searched for the key to open the glass box which had the painting. Finally Warren finds out the key which was in the jacket of the librarian. Warren goes and tries to open the glass box but he couldn't. The librarian tries to move towards the door. Eric refuses to touch her again. So Warren gives the key to Eric. Warren moves the librarian aside. They steal the books from there and they run towards the back door to the lift. Warren tells Eric to press the B button on the lift. Instead the B button Eric pressed on the 1st floor. The 1st floor leads to the main library where all the people will be reading books. The door opens on the 1st floor. The people sitting there see them. They close the door and go to the basement but the basement is pitch black and and they couldn’t find the exit. So Warren tells Eric that they have to run to the 1st floor. So they go to the 1st floor and start running. The receptionist there calls the security.  These two open the exit door and run. The painting book slips away from their hands. Warren tries to pick it up but Eric realises that they have no time for it and he pulls Warren and runs from there. They fail miserably the second time too but the luck favours them. They got two books in their bags which is very expensive. The police were trying to catch these four people but they had no clue. These people plan to go to New York and sell those books which they had in their bags. They do everything right but they made a silly mistake in the place where they went to sell the books. Spencer gave his phone number. Spencer and Warren didn’t realise their mistake at that time but they knew that they did a blunder. After serious searching the FBI arrested these four people and put them in jail for 7 long years.
